Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Your HPPI board has been busy working with the city, behind the scenes planning events, and acting on our neighborhood’s behalf. As a neighborhood association, we fund and support many projects and dedicate many volunteer hours to the ongoing needs of our community.
A special thank you to Cindy Ramm for all of her work coordinating with the City of Tampa to make sure our neighborhood was ready for the Gasparilla Invasion. A lot of time and effort goes in to preparing; communicating and taking action to make sure that all goes as smoothly as possible. Thank you to William LaMartin for producing the 2016-2017 Membership Directory, this is a time consuming task. And thanks to all of the board members for dedicating their time and efforts to better our community.
I hope that you all have had a chance to check out the website at www.oldhydeparkfl.org and, if you are on facebook, that you have joined our neighborhood group. Susan Heine has done a great job updating both sites with important information. Get the latest on what is happening in the neighborhood, Village and much more…
Lastly, I would like to encourage you all to download the City of Tampa app on your phone and bookmark the City of Tampa website page, www.tampagov.net. This is a great resource for us, you can easily go in to the app to log a service request, find contact numbers, report speeding/traffic concerns etc. The number to report a traffic incident in progress is 813-231-6130, to request increased police patrol call 813-354-6600.
As a board, we represent our neighborhood to the best of our ability, however, we do encourage each of you to contact your council person with your concerns. Helpful phone numbers are listed on the back page of your directory. Mike Suarez is our councilperson; his contact information is listed below.
I hope to see you at the block party on March 26th!
