Dear Friends and Neighbors,
My name is Kippy Nelson. My husband Pete and I moved here from Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2013. After raising our two children and living in the frozen tundra for 23 years we were thrilled to have found a lovely historic neighborhood in South Tampa. I quickly found out how fortunate we are to be living not only in a beautiful historic neighborhood but also with so many passionate, dedicated neighbors willing to give of their time and talents to make our neighborhood the best that it can be.
We have an experienced board this year with years of service and knowledge of our community. We will continue to uphold the previously set standards while working closely with the City of Tampa including the Architectural Review Commission (ARC). We are also in regular communication with WS Development, the owners of Hyde Park Village. It has been exciting to see the many improvements being made and we are looking forward to its completion soon.
I hope that you will join us for our first social event of the season on Saturday October 1st at Flip and Rick Millers, 901 S. Willow. This will be a great time to reconnect with old friends, meet new neighbors and if you are not familiar with all that HPPI does, to learn more about the many worthy projects that your board continues to work on and support.
Our membership drive is starting so please look for your form to arrive soon. You can also pay online at our new and improved website at www.oldhydeparkfl.org, where you can stay informed on the latest happenings in the neighborhood.
Lastly I would like to thank Rudy Fernandez past president for his time and leadership. During his tenure he was instrumental in his partnership with the city in the completion of the S. Edison project.
Please contact me with any questions or concerns at our new neighborhood website: firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 813-419-3652.
I look forward to meeting you soon.
Kippy Nelson, HPPI President
