Save the Date! Annual Neighborhood Alley Clean Up on April 8th

What: Mingle with your neighbors and do some good! Enjoy a continental breakfast in the morning and pizza after the clean up. Bring a hat, gloves, & some tools (eg., rakes, clippers, brooms). 

Where: At the home of Katie and Anthony Georgiadis at 727 S. Edison (corner of Inman & Edison),  at 8 am to get caffeinated and carb’d up, then get your team alley assignments. You will be paired with student/community organization volunteers. Please note that teams will only be assigned to the alleys of the homeowners who volunteer.

When: Saturday, April 8th at 8am-Noon

Why: to make our alleys accessible for our specially sized trash and recycling trucks.

This project is in cooperation with City of Tampa, Neighborhood Empowerment Dept. Please spread the word as this is a great way for students and community organizations to earn service hours!

Also on April 8th: Paper Shredding, Paint and Electronics Disposal!  

Start gathering your papers for shredding, paints and electronics for pick up.  As part of your membership, these services are FREE*:

·        Paper Shredding 10am – 12pm at 727 S. Edison (corner of Inman & Edison). This can be by the bag or by the box, no need to remove staples or clips or file binder clips before shredding, This is a commercial shredder.

·        Pre-register for Paint and Electronics Pickup (contact Tish Thornberry at (813-251-2957) or tampashort@earthlink.net to receive a tag for pickup) —you must have a pickup tag on your items.

*$25 each  service for non-members. Join and the services are FREE!
