Dear Friends and Neighbors,
As we approach the Fall Season and hopefully some cooler temperatures, the front porch activity is coming back to life and the Village is in full swing! The road construction continues and WS Development expects to complete this phase mid-November if all goes according to plan. After the New Year phase three will begin having taken a break for the Holiday Season. It is exciting to see the progress as WS continues to make many positive improvements!
If you have not paid your HPPI membership dues you still have time. The deadline in order to be in the directory will be approaching quickly so please join now. You can pay online at www.oldhydeparkfl.org or drop off your form with your check to 719 S. Boulevard.
Harold Walker is working with the City of Tampa Urban Forestry Department on phase two of the Hyde Park Green Scape. They have identified a list of trees for removal and replacement. The hope is for these new trees to be planted in the spring. Thank you to Harold for taking on this very important project.
Thank you to Flip and Rick Miller for opening their beautiful home for our first social event of the Season. We had a great turnout and the food was fabulous! Everyone outdid themselves with their specialty dishes to share.
We have a lot of events to look forward to. Please join us for our fall gathering at the home of Colleen and Nathan Geller on Friday Nov. 4th for wine, cheese and appetizers. Stop in any time during the party from 7-10 PM.
Looking ahead please mark your calendars for our Holiday party on Saturday December 3rd at Leslie and Hampton Stephens home and the Home Tour on Sunday December 4th.
Our updated website at www.oldhydeparkfl.org is up and running. Please be patient as we continue to make improvements and add content to the site. Be sure to check back often as more information is provided.
Please contact me or any of the board members at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone 813-419-3652 with any questions, concerns or suggestions. We are always looking for volunteers; please let us know if you are interested in getting more involved.
